Our Advisory Board

The advisory group  brings together individuals who are leaders in their chosen area and have a strong interest in and commitment to challenging exclusion and injustice, addressing women’s issues through a gendered lens and home ownership. It advises, challenges and brings thought leadership and direction to all Uprise members,  from the senior management team to volunteers and advocates. Their ethics and values underpin the credo of the organisation.

Guy Battle – Guy  works cross-industry on developing sustainability solutions for businesses that deliver real and tangible value. He has experience in both advisory and assurance services. Specialties: Business advisory, sustainable development, finance transformation (FT4S), social impact measurement, carbon economics, sustainable design, assurance, life cycle analysis, facilitation and public speaking. Guy  has contributed to a number of books including The Endless City, Sustainable Ecosystems and the BCO Guide.


Mike Burridge – Mike is a consummate education  specialist. As the youngest chief executive of a local authority (LB Hammersmith and Fulham) Mike cut his teeth in local  government . When he is not the championing issues facing young people getting into employment in his day job, as business development lead for Capital Apprenticeships  he may be found attending his other passion  –  epiphyllums.


Charlie Greig – Charlie brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge of all things sustainable and modular. Her award winning designs have led to success in building her own modular building  system and interior design team. Charlie is Uprise’s creative visionary, yet firmly rooted in strategy and positivity, she builds partnerships and leads on sustainability.


Erica Rolle  – Erica is a domestic violence coordinator for London Borough of Hillingdon, where she leads on the local authority’s policy and practice on the violence against women and girls agenda.


Adam SwashAdam is the former Head of Strategy and Research at Experian and currently and advisor for Working For Youth and External Project Board member for the DWP on working group on Financial Inclusion focusing on the expansion of credit unions. Adam brings a wealth of experience in personal finance, financial  inclusion and risk management to the Uprise Advisory Board.
